Massachusetts affordable manufactured home project nearly sells out months after opening

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Teton Management is developing Allendale Pines North, a new manufactured home community in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and demand has been strong enough that the first phase has nearly sold out just months after launching in May. The plan calls for 22 homes across three phases, with each home offering roughly 1,280 square feet, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, priced between about $200,000 and $240,000. Company president George Whaling says the project targets buyers who want more space and stability than renting provides but can’t afford a traditional single-family house, with monthly costs landing close to what a comparable three-bedroom rental would run. The full $1.65 million project is slated to wrap up by spring 2027.
